Evaluation -- Definition

Evaluation : evaluation is the process of examining certain objects and events in view of specified value standards for the purpose of making corrective or implementary decision.

Formative Evaluation: it is conducted to provide program implememtation. It's conducted during the program progress, and it's seeking for the improvement.

Summative Evaluation: it is conducted at the end of the whole program in order to make a judgment on the value of the program. It is more concerning about the outcome of the program.

  1. Hi Lu!

How exactly will evaluation factor in to your model? Do you think you'll include formative, summative, or both? At any time when you have an output (something that can be looked at or measured), you can have formative evaluation. Any point where you have feedback could also involve formative evaluation, if you wish. There seems to be a lot of ongoing communication in your model, so I think there may be at least a few points where you may want to include formative eval. Summative evaluation of the success of the program is also likely.
